FIVE-NIGHT CUSTOM LAND PACKAGE Trip # 005B

FAIRBANKS-DENALI-ANCHORAGE-SEWARD + TWO WILDLIFE TOURS

Ä Day 1 ~ Arrive in Fairbanks in afternoon or evening & overnight in a Fairbanks hotel.
Ä Day 1 ~ Early the next morning, take the southbound train from Fairbanks to Denali National Park, riding in the luxury of a double decker dome car with optional hot meal service in each car.
  • Your narrated train ride will be approximately 5 ½ hours, and will be filled with scenes that few in the ‘lower forty-eight’ ever get to experience.
  • Overnight in a very comfortable lodge in the village of Denali.
  • Enjoy the afternoon and evening free, while there are many optional activities to choose from that will maximize your own Denali experience.
Ä By staying two nights in your Denali lodge, you will have a chance on your full non-travel day to participate in the eight hour wildlife tour (included in this package) that travels approximately 60 miles into Denali National Park, something that pre-packaged tour participants on most of the major tour products will not get a chance to do.
Even though they have traveled thousands of miles to see the grizzly bears of Denali, most tour participants on the major tour products never will.

Ä Day 3 ~ After returning from your Denali National Park Tundra Wildlife Tour, there will be free time in the afternoon to further enjoy some of the optional activities offered near the park
Ä Day 4 ~ Your last morning in Denali is again free time to choose how you would like to spend your valuable time in Denali.
  • Then about noon, you will board a southbound train for Anchorage, again traveling in the first class style of a double decker dome car with guided narration and a full service restaurant on the lower level of your car.
  • Overnight in an Anchorage hotel.
Ä Day 5 ~ Early the next morning, take the most scenic train ride in all of Alaska for your early morning trip from Anchorage to the scenic port town of Seward,
  • upon arrival about 11:00 AM, you'll be transferred to a 100 passenger vessel for an incredible tour by boat of the Kenai Fjords National Park coastline.
  • This wildlife and glacier cruise features close-up viewing of sea otters, sea lions, and whales-plus a calving tidewater glacier!
  • Lunch is included onboard
  • Overnight stay in the scenic seaport of Seward, home of some of the best seafood restaurants in Alaska

Ä Day 6 ~ After a leisurely morning, transfer to your ship close by where you can board around noon, well before most passengers begin arriving by bus.
    • Enjoy lunch on board your cruise ship, and then feel free to leave the ship to stroll the nearby streets of Seward.
    • Be back on board by dinner.
    • The ship leaves after dinner for your Voyage of the Glaciers.

Ä By taking the train from Anchorage to Seward, you will get to experience two things that all other cruise passengers will not,
    • an incredible train ride on the most scenic portion of the Alaska Railroad, and
    • the beautiful port town of Seward.
Ä Sure beats a 3 ½ hour bus ride that arrives too late in the afternoon for you to leave the ship and actually enjoy Seward!
WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED ON OUR LAND PACKAGES:
Meals are not included. Also, transfers within Anchorage are not included, but are easy to handle on your own via inexpensive and reliable taxi service from the airport to your hotel, and to and from the train station in downtown Anchorage, usually less than a mile from your Anchorage hotel.
